Alan Pedersen, singer/songwriter, former Executive Director of The Compassionate Friends and, most importantly, Ashley’s dad, will speak and perform some of his music at our September 13th Chapter meeting.
Alan is an award-winning songwriter, recording artist, and nationally recognized speaker on grief and loss. Alan has been a keynote speaker and workshop presenter at many prestigious conferences including The World Gathering on Bereavement, The Compassionate Friends National Conference and The National Gathering of Bereaved Parents of the USA. He served as Executive Director of The Compassionate Friends, the largest bereavement organization in the world, and was named Professional of the Year by The Compassionate Friends in 2010, and Humanitarian of the Year from the Bobby Resciniti Healing Hearts Foundation in 2011. He founded Angels Across the USA in order to bring his message of hope and healing to as many bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings as possible.
